FIREARMS LICENCE TRAINING
GunGarage shooting range runs courses for firearms licence applicants. The legal part of the course (Weapons Act, Penal Code) takes about 6 hours in total over two evenings: a Wednesday and a second evening by arrangement.
The weapons training (safety, technical side of different firearm types, correct handling and practical shooting) is held as 3 × 45-minute private sessions with an instructor, by appointment — the best way to make skills and knowledge stick.
If needed, we offer extra training and ammunition at a discount.
The exam preparation package price covers all costs: materials, instructor, range and firearm rental, and 50 rounds.
There’s no extra charge for applicants for different firearm categories.

FIRST AID COURSE
A 16-hour course for firearms licence applicants.
Since 1 July 2018, under § 35 of the Weapons Act, anyone applying for a firearm acquisition permit or a firearms licence must present proof of completing at least 16 hours of first aid training.
16 academic hours: 8 in class and 8 as independent study.
“PRECISE SHOT” COURSE
This course teaches you to make a precise shot — hitting exactly what you’re aiming at. You’ll work on correct body position, grip, aiming and trigger control, learn what gets in the way of an accurate shot and do plenty of special drills to overcome it.
Afterwards you’ll have a method for practising on your own, which you can apply to different shooting sports or self-defence training.
The course lasts 4 hours over two days (2 × 2) and requires 50 rounds.
If you don’t have your own firearm, rental for the course is 25 € and 50 rounds cost 17 €.
SHOOTING TEST PREPARATION
If your firearms licence is expiring and you need to retake the police shooting test, we recommend checking your skills with our instructor first.
The session is private and tailored to you: we’ll go over body position, grip, aiming, trigger control, safety and knowledge of your firearm.
If you don’t have your own firearm, rental costs 15 € and rounds are 0.34 € each.
